Kibera Hustle

Steve has been fired from every job and lives a dead-end life in London, feeling sorry for himself and wasting time making unsuccessful blogs. When he gets a desperate call from his halfbrother (Jack) that he hasn’t spoken to in years to rescue him, Steve realizes he must act, or he will lose the only family he has left. He is to swap a mysterious key that was sent from their father’s estate for his brother. In Kenya, Mshai is a wary slum hustler, earning just enough to get by. But her dream is to get her son back from the local gangster, Abu (42). Mshai had a baby with him when she first arrived in Kibera and was too young to know better, and regrets giving him up.

When Steve hires Mshai as a tour guide to bring him to the swap zone and Abu’s place of business, Mshai realizes Steve might be the one to help her get her son back, if she can figure out an angle. Like everything in life, Steve screws up the hostage swap, giving Mshai the perfect opportunity to hustle him and Abu. But everyone has an agenda of their own, and nothing is as it seems. Steve is going to have to be responsible, and Mshai is going to have to trust if they are to pull off the ultimate hustle.
